why i love children's illustrated books π
One of the things i love about children's illustrated books is the sense of freedom they offer in terms of artistic style ✨
There's a unique opportunity to experiment with different drawing and narrative tecniques since the market for children's books is so vast.
Even though the stories are often brief and straightforward, they can be
incredibly impactful, i find them even more interesting than most of the new mainstream comics,
as they allow for a greater variety of artistic expression and storytelling
approachesπ️
A story meant for kids can take on new layers of significance when read from
an adult perspective, making some children's books not only enjoyable but also
profoundly moving for more mature readers π

⭐ kirby read along - take courage
A great example of this is kirby read along volume 2 - take courage, illustrated by Hyogonosuke π―π΅.
In this illustrated book, kirby embarks on a journey to find the "heart fruit" ✨
A fruit that with one bite would fill your heart with courage.

Along the way, he will have to face obstacles and follow a path full of
difficulties ⛰️

Does kirby really need the fruit of courage?
Could there be a greater fulfillment than achieving his goal π?

What makes this book special is how it manages to convey a deep and touching
message despite its simplicity ⭐
This book is also available on youtube on nintendo's official channel, in the
form of a narrated
video
with small motion graphics effects and music, making the experience even more
immersive π΅
I find this story incredibly moving and i often get emotional rereading it.
There's something so powerful about seeing such a simple concept handled with intelligence, delicacy, and elegance π«

It’s the kind of storytelling that, when done right, has a profound emotional
impact.
Even though it might seem like a clichΓ© at first, the way it is executed is so
thoughtful and effective that it truly resonates π©·

It’s proof that sometimes, the simplest stories can be the most
moving ❇️
In the future, i plan to share more about specific children's illustrated books and provide recommendations.
Stay tuned for more posts where i'll dive deeper into each book, sharing insights, my thought and photos πΌ️
